I'll send you a BBM, if you ask nicely.

The BBM, or Blue Berry Muffin is a classic.  After much experimentation and taste testing, I have created the best recipe for a BBM and turned it into a muffin top.  I can't give away this recipe because it is that good, so don't ask. BUT I will give away a few hints to make your ordinary BMM the perfect BBM-
Vital ingredients include: both sour cream AND buttermilk, orange and lemon flavor (in the form of zest, juices, oils, and/or extracts), and a cinnamon crumb topping!

Here are some photos of the process:
Batter before adding blueberries, it is important that the batter is thick so it does not spread in the pan.

I always toss my blueberries in a little bit of batter before adding them to the batter. This is important because the blueberries will not sink to the bottom of the muffin. Also, while fresh is always better, it is best to use frozen berries because they are less likely to burst when mixing which prevents the batter from turning blue!
Blueberries in the batter! YUM!
My muffin top pan is awesome! To prevent sticking I butter the pan, also I take the normal muffin cups and squash them into the shape of the muffin top.

I found this portion to be just the right amount .... anymore and the muffin tops run into each other when baking.

Lastly, I added the cinnamon-crumb-topping.
